Through your support, we get to keep creating the ruckus and initiative needed to move forward and leave the world a little better than we found it.
Neil Gaiman once said, “A book is a dream you hold in your hands.” Our organization believes in the magic hidden inside each ink-stained page. Fueled by that belief, we’ve created the Life Library, an initiative that aims to provide every child with access to books, and in doing so, giving them the chance to dream. There’s plenty of work to be done. Here’s how you can help.

The scenes of devastation from #OdettePH-affected areas are heartbreaking.
On December 16, the super typhoon ravaged vast areas in Visayas and Mindanao bringing strong winds, heavy rains, flooding, landslides, affecting an estimated 1.8 million people, over 650,000 of them children.
The extent of destruction dumped on the Philippines by Super Typhoon Odette (Rai) has not been fully inventoried but could be gleaned through one word used by scientists to measure the storm’s impact on at least five regions in the country—catastrophic.
Scenes reminiscent of Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), which ravaged parts of the Philippines in 2013, are rising like ghosts of Christmases past.

Sawubona, dear reader! She[k] Writes is a place where young women come together and celebrate the loops, the ups and downs, of growth. We believe in creating and pursuing the meaningful rather than living our whole lives in the shadow of avoiding pain and discomfort. We believe growth can be messy and lonely but equally just as worthwhile. We are happy to have you with us.
